It smells like urine and it's very big you would think the residents would get lost But The employees are very nice
Warm, kind and loving staff that create a welcome, homey environment coupled with large rooms and common areas.
I highly recommend Evergreen Estates. The staff are friendly and caring. Everyone feels like family. My Mom had a large room that was more like a studio apartment, with a mini frig and microwave that made her feel like this was really "home". Everyone took wonderful care of Mom and I will be forever grateful to them.
The value for cost gets a 5++. The staff are very friendly and willing to help residents and visitors. All staff including administrative staff seem to know all the residents by name. Staff are "present ". The lobby entrance and front desk area good use some updating. Evergreen takes much better care of their residents and charges much less than other similar facilities in the area. My mother moved to Evergreen in late March from another facility. Other facilities may be more aesthetically pleasing but lack the quality of care provided by Evergreen.
My wife was at Evergreen Estates Retirement Community. They had a lot of young kids working there. They were doing the best they could with the training they had. I thought they treated my wife fine. I appreciated their help. They were always cooperating. They were pleasant to be around. The food satisfied my wife's needs according to what they considered a balanced meal. She always ate her meals. She usually ate most of it. I think they had 13 rooms. They also had a large room where they did a lot of their movie watching and batting the balloon around. My wife participated when she was out there. Their activities were appropriate. They had people there to come and do the waste baskets, too. They keep the place clean. They run the vacuum and clean up messes that were made by the patients. They were always on top of that. The room was fairly big for my wife. My daughter decorated it. I also had some photos that we had framed, so we put those up and kept them there. I thought they were very accommodating. The place was affordable to me, too.
Staff takes time to get to know the residents, make sure they head down for meals on time, etc. They are very responsive
I recently toured here and it was depressing and smelled bad. The building is very out of date and staff all seem to think they are on break. The people who helped me were very pushy and didn’t provide the basic knowledge needed to make an informed decision.
Good place compared to many in Lancaster. Automatic air deodorizers are way too much in memory care area. Needs improved communication within management. Head custodian was exemplary.
