After I got word my father passed away, I called to get information, just any info. The person who answered was extremely rude and unhelpful. When I asked if she knew how he died, she went "How the hell would I know that???" Maybe it was a silly question as the death just happened, but having someone so rude and coarse was not helpful in the moment. She then went on to berate me for calling them and got obviously frustrated when I changed the subject back to my father's care and death. Keep in mind, I just found out my dad died a few moments before, and she knew I had just found out. She complained about her coworkers, her work. Eventually my partner made me hang up after a few minutes as it was getting to a ridiculous extent. I tried extremely hard to be kind and understanding over the phone as I'm sure you deal with not-so-understanding clients/family, but this interaction made the worst day of my life 10x harder. This happened about 6 months ago, and I wanted to let it go but I felt I had to warn people.
