The people I've met are nice and helpful. I like the fact it's quiet. Mom has been in another facility and it was bustling with noise and activity, not a peaceful place like Lakeview the grounds are nice. The Hospice nurse who had been caring for mom at home had good things to say about the staff.
Dad in hospice now, so gets great care from hospice staff, but care from facility staff depends on who is working... not all staff as attentive or qualified as others. Communications are lacking. Cost significantly increased without warning, moved to a level of care structure on top of baseline. Affordable cost was the primary reason for placing him here, and now the cost is more than his income. And level of care structure makes hospice patients the highest cost, yet the facility staff has less work due to hospice staff that are paid for through health insurance. Corporate/Admin decisions…

Corporate/Admin decisions don't make sense, but no other options because dad is already established at this facility and we don't want to move him.
Our Dad lived at Lakeview, Darlington and our entire family couldn't have been more pleased with this facility. The entire staff was incredibly caring and compassionate. Every employee made him and our family feel welcomed and cared for, from the holiday dinners and parties to the everyday visits and entertainment they were all so kind, friendly and helpful. The beautiful country setting, the nicely decorated facility and beautiful outdoor areas make it even more impressive! We are so grateful we found this facility for Dad. Thank you all!

My sister is a resident of Lakeview Personal Care Home. The workers all seem like they like their job. They were very attentive to her needs and my needs as a visitor. The place was pretty clean. She was making friends. Everybody seemed really friendly, meaning the residents. Her room is spacious. The view that she has she can watch, there's a pond. There's a really nice patio.
The food is not nutritional. They don't give my father in-law good care. I'm in the process of moving him out of that place.
I had the opportunity to visit this facility a few weeks ago. I was with a friend visiting her loved ones. We walked around the entire facility, but spent the majority of the time outside in the patio area. It was lovely. I could tell that many of the residents enjoyed this area. I also want to take note of my observation of the interaction between staff and residents was heartwarming. They were treated as if they were all friends. So much laughter. This is definitely at the top of my list if I were ever in the situation to find placement for one of my parents. Keep up the good work.
Jenny, who manages the kitchen, is always going above and beyond and advocating for the residents. I have visited here multiple times and every resident seems elated to see Jenny coming down the halls. Which tells me she brings JOY into their lives and days. The kitchen staff here is amazing!! They go above and beyond for the residents. I’ve worked in facilities like this and haven’t seen a staff as caring as this place and definitely haven’t seen a kitchen director that goes above and beyond like jenny does. If there’s anyone I would trust to watch after my loved ones it’s this staff particularly with Jenny in charge. She checks every box for the residents and makes sure they are happy and Safe! If you visit this place stop by the kitchen and say Hi to Jenny, she’s a pleasure!
