About this community

DuBois Village Personal Care Community in DuBois, Pennsylvania is part of a local continuum of care that includes independent living at Village View, personal care at DuBois Village, and skilled nursing at DuBois Nursing Home. The campus is operated by a nonprofit organization that uses fundraising and donations to support resident programs and facility improvements. Living arrangements focus on personal care services within a community setting rather than private home care.

Daily life at the community includes organized social and educational events such as veteran-focused lunches and informational programs, plus periodic open interviews and staff recognition initiatives. The organization shares news and opportunities to give or volunteer, and it communicates program details and sign-up processes through its public announcements and event listings rather than through independent inspection reports.

All categories are 5. Please keep in mind I am not in the area so I don't see her all the time I have to rely on others who visit to let me know things are. But when I call they all are very willing to chat with me.

The staff was so kind, gentle, and caring to my mother. She loved living there and she really cared for everybody taking care of her. Thank you for all that you did for her. You always put our minds at ease.

We cannot say enough about the entire staff. They go the extra mile to meet all the resident's physical and emotional needs. They become like family to the residents. Our community is so lucky to have them.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful The Dubois Village has been for my beautiful mother, Margaret. She currently resides in Willow Lane and since arriving last year, has flourished physically, cognitively and mentally. The Village provides a loving, caring, and impeccably clean environment that is in fact a home, not a facility. The activities are fun and stimulating. The caregivers are absolutely amazing, giving Mom the love and respect she deserves. If you are looking for a wonderful, caring, loving and fun home for your family member, you must visit The Dubois Village in Dubois Pennsylvania. It has blessed our mother and our family so!

I find the staff here amazing. They go the extra mile to accomodate their residents! Clean, everywhere is clean including the individual rooms, Rooms are nicely furnished and maintained. Decorations are always abundant and appropriate for the season. Lots of activities for all residents. Dining experience is more like a nice restaurant. Residents can sit wherever they want therefore being able to mingle with different residents and possibly not having to always to sit with someone they may NOT prefer to sit with. Meals are always good with choices if wanted. Various ares for residents to sit and visit with each other that include snack and beverage machines available. Activities are endless with something for everyone! Most of all is the "homey" atmosphere in the building.

There is no complaints from my loved one. They do there best and call when they need too. The level of care is good. The activities director is good. My loved one enjoys Bingo. They do a lot for the residents. They interact with the residents by name. Loved one appears to be eating. Compared to other places, the value for money is good. I picked this community because, it's better suited with what my loved one would do good with.

DuBois Village was very nice. I liked everything about it, but what was holding me back was the cost of it. When I asked about the semi-private rooms which they had, they just kind of pooh- poohed them. They didn't give me much information on them. They sent me a price list and that's why I made the appointment because I was going by the semi-private prices. When I told them about my mother and the staff said, 'Well, I probably have the perfect thing.' She said that it would be a shared room with another woman. It would be a large shared room, so they would both have a lot of room. They both have the same thing, e.g., dementia. My mom is big on having a companion around her, and the other woman is the same way, so it kind of sounds like it's just the perfect situation for us. The residents were playing bingo when I was there. They have menus. They have options that they can choose daily for their meals. The place was very clean. It was very positive. Everything was included in the rent except the beauty salon, it might have been extra. They do laundry and housekeeping. They had different options. Every room had a bath and shower, but then they also had a walk-in tub, and then they have another place where you could just take the wheelchair in the shower. That's a struggle with my mom because of trying to get her in and out of the shower, so the one with the wheelchair was good.

My mother-in-law is in DuBois Nursing Home (DuBois Continuum of Care) since the first of October. They are very easy to work with. When telling them the needs that my mother-in-law has, they are really friendly and accommodating to those needs. They explain things very well. It is a very clean facility. If you do come in and you see something you feel that your loved one will really benefit from, they do everything that they can to see that it is met. We are very pleased with her care and in making my husband's mother very comfortable. I think they have three levels of care there, if I remember right. They do have a lot of activities for the folks to be involved in. I am just very impressed of their desire to meet the needs of their residents. They meet with us from each department, from the nursing staff, to the beautician to physical therapist. They have a beauty salon.
