I don’t even know where to start. This place does not care for their patients. My grandpa was there for less than a week and we had multiple issues. We were told to label his cloths because staff will steal them if we don’t??!!!! We had to remind them to bring his breakfast lunch and dinner everyday. One day we weren’t able to be there with him and when we got there later in the day we learned they didn’t give him lunch so he hadn’t eaten since breakfast. They gave him absolutely no food on three separate times when we weren’t there They would not respond to the help button. Multiple times we…

They gave him absolutely no food on three separate times when we weren’t there They would not respond to the help button. Multiple times we would have to end up helping him instead of his nurse because they would never come. Our final straw was when we got there to visit and we find out he had been sitting in his own urine for 2 hours because he pressed the call button and no one ever came. We had to change him ourselves and take his sheets off his bed because even after telling the nurses what happened they took forever to come. We were able to get him out that same day and even the nurses agreed he needed to go because of their lack of care. I don’t understand how this place hasn’t been shut down
Great outreach post discharge. The staff at LNR were caring.
David had a great experience with Lancaster rehabilitation. The 2nd floor staff was amazing with him and he feels as though he made friends there for sure. As david is mentally handicapped he had broke is arm and Lancaster rehabilitation worked with him to have a full recovery. I liked that they didn't pump him full of unnecessary medication. A special staff member, Delores really made a great impact on David. As for me Kelly help me to make David's transitioning as pleasant as possible. Even though David has come home now I can still reach out to Mary with any questions. Thank you Lancaster…

First, the website pictures are not wholly accurate. They show spacious rooms with happy residents. That is apparent in some parts of the building. So I will provide facts, not opinions. I had my mom transferred there from the hospital following back surgery because it is the closest facility to me and I saw 4 stars. I should have asked for a tour first of the room where she was supposed to stay. Below are bullet points I've observed. In fairness to the facility, I've talked to two patients who rate their stay as a 5 star. They are/were younger people who can keep up with the fast pace of a rehab floor. They have already been discharged. They were not wholly dependent on someone to get them to the bathroom etc. As we are limited to number of words, I've commented in the pictures. Also, while I was there yesterday, a newly admitted patient left after being told that her medicines would not be available until Monday when the doctor and pharmacy could review and authorize them. They only deal with one off-site pharmacy and it was already 4:30 pm. The lady had just been discharged from LGH on a very tight heart medication regimen. She also said, aside from the meds which her husband would have gladly picked up at a CVS, that the room was way too warm and she sweating after sitting there for just 10 minutes, and that she didn't appreciate the staff member trying to put her in a bed that a previous patient was in who had just been discharged, that had a slightly soiled pad on, and the sheet from the previous patient. My mom confirmed this as well and could hear the lady argue with the staff member that she just arrived. The lady and her husband left the facility as far as I know. Update 4/20/26 - Housekeeping once again forgot to go into the bathroom and empty the stinky diaper can. It was full to the top and gross smelling in there. I would have taken a picture except I don't believe you are allowed to take pics of their equipment, personnel or patients. However, I DID take pics a few days where it was so hot I couldn't be in the room. And now they put a 'screamer' in my mom's room that yells "mama" all night long. It was hard for her to sleep with the bugs and the heat, and now this. Sigh
If I could put negative stars believe I would. I’ve tried to contact the administrator Laura and nursing director Lisa for over two weeks now. They won’t call me back or answer their phones. All I wanted was to see there company policy that states my uncle can’t go out over night occasionally. Talked to the administrator in person over a week ago and she told me we could set up a meeting this week but won’t return my calls now. I’ve reported the nursing home to the state and they said if they don’t respond within a week or two to file another complaint and they will handle it. I’m sick to my stomach with how they treat my uncle and how they handled talking with me. Hands down don’t recommend. Every time I visit bugs are all over the place and now there water is contaminated with a bacteria that is making their residents sick. Signs everywhere saying don’t drink the water or use the ice machines. This place needs shut down immediately. Do not put your loved ones in this facility!!!
This place u want to stay away from water contaminated 1 shower a week foods cold not like picture rooms like pictures only 8th floor roaches u can't stay with family over nite an they lie about your condition to your family no mater how good you are. Trying to get out of here. It's like a prison. But most nurses are great have some mean aids rehab is great .don't believe those pictures
How can you trust a place to care for your loved ones if they can't follow the admittance procedure? They asked for bank statements and other personal information even though the patient was already approved and currently on medicaid.
My sister is a resident at LN&R. I visit with her and sign her out weekly. Everyone that I encounter, from when I walk in through the door until I leave, is always very kind, supportive and helpful. My sister feels safe and is content with her surroundings. She loves the staff and they are very considerate of her feelings. Thank you to all!
