Concordia at Bethlen in Ligonier, Pennsylvania. This campus provides multiple care levels on one site, including retirement living cottages, personal care, short-term rehabilitation and long-term nursing care. Independent living cottages are single-level with covered porches, attached heated garages and in-home appliances; residents have access to an on-site wellness center with exercise equipment and organized classes. The location overlooks the Laurel Highlands and highlights routine maintenance, garbage service and emergency response pendants for added convenience.
Personal care includes private and semi-private suites that can be furnished to individual preferences, plus shared dining and activity spaces. Short-term rehabilitation suites were recently updated and feature separate living and dining areas. The community also offers worship opportunities nearby, limited medical transportation and coordinated admissions assistance to help with application paperwork.

I found my stay at Concordia at Bethlen to be excellent. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
My mom was placed here after her second hospitalization in 2 months for physical rehab. It was 48 miles one way for me, but I didn't hesitate because I knew the quality of care would be over the top. And it was. I can't thank the staff enough for their loving care. Unfortunately, my mom's health insurance stopped after 28 days of PT and we were looking at placing her in a long term care facility that had an available medicaid bed. Unfortunately, Concordia did not. God answered my prayers 3 times when he found Concordia for us twice and the 3rd time when he took her Home to be with Him before she had to move to a less than desirable facility. Concordia Cabot and Concordia Bethlen are top notch facilities that I would not hesitate to place a loved one. Thank you.
Don't put family members here unless you can stay and rake care of them. Don't ask for pain meds, they're 2 hours late or never come at all!!!!!

BEWARE! I moved to Bethlen in November 2020. Concordia Lutheran Ministries bought the place in May 2023. In their first 20 months of ownership, they have raised my rent over 42%. We're a Retirement Community, for heaven's sake, living on fixed income and savings. That doesn't seem to be a very Christian way of doing business.
