The staff at Cole Place fall into one of two categories - either fantastic or absolutely awful. Unfortunately, the former cannot make up for the latter. A good number of the CNAs at Cole Place are young girls with interpersonal issues causing major conflict and instability among the staff. Cole Place cannot fully staff the facility, because everyone quits due to the toxic work conditions. The managers threaten to put employees on the “do not hire” list if they speak up about workplace abuse, and because the girls are so young and naive, they are scared into total silence and the pervasive issues at the establishment persist unchecked. I am aware of at least one CNA with an active drug abuse issue, and at least one manager who dismissed the person who reported the CNA to protect the substance user. I saw neglect of residents resulting from this CNA, including residents left to sit in their own feces for hours. In short, without serious intervention and accountability, I would avoid housing a loved one here.
