Excellent first experience and very accommodating. Expedited the process to get my mother move in safely.
Please do NOT put your loved one in this facility. It may look real nice and fancy but the lack of care and professionalism is a real problem. My mom spent only 2 months there and it was nothing but headache the entire time. Verbal abuse from her roommate who had a history of doing this and they refused to deal with her but instead made a person with dementia move rooms which confused my mom completely. They director Tyler flat out not responding to emails from me about the situation and basically blaming me because I was a strong advocate for my mom. Also incorrectly billing me for rent to…

Also incorrectly billing me for rent to the toon on 6k. They also were giving mom the wrong medication and lied about it and said it was hospice’s fault. They wouldn’t give her a shower stating that was hospice’s responsibility. The amount of lies and misinformation was astounding. I’m so happy I got my mom out of there. For the money I was paying mom should have had better care. The list goes on and on. The other residents push their buzzers for help and I witnessed multiple staff members sitting behind the desk having personal conversations and making snow angels on the floor in the common area. They don’t clean the rooms. There was food under the bed that didn’t even belong to my mom. I had to vacuum it myself because they ignored the request to have it cleaned. Think twice before committing to this place!!!!!!
Such an amazing team! Love the levels of care with three on site LPN's what an amazing team! Megan is spectacular in admissions reach out if you would like a tour!
I brought my Mom to Celebration Villa in April after a poor experience with another facility in State College. I could not have made a better choice. Not only are the prices very reasonable, the care is just excellent. Every single person there is very kind, friendly and professional. They treated my mom so nicely and compassionately it brings me to tears. The facility is very clean and well maintained. The food is very good quality - nutritious and tasty - I ate there myself several times (for free!). They are completely prompt in responding - I even had the private cell phone of one of the caregivers who happily spoke with me whenever I called - especially in the first few weeks when she was settling in. Overall, the people who work there make it a great place. Such great attitudes! The nurses, office staff, maintenance staff all great! I will be recommending CV to everyone who needs a place in Central PA! Excellent value. Many, many activities and they actively encourage participation.
My mother considers Celebration Villa of Reedsville home. They have welcomed her since day one. There is a core group of dedicated staff there that care and go out of their way to help. I'm grateful for everything they do!
It is a nice, friendly place for family. I would definitely recommend Celebration Villa of Reedsville to anybody looking for assisted living.
They rush you into signing their contract without explaining everything When I moved him in, they wanted all of his prescription medication's which I gave them. There was a lot of medicine there, including four months worth of inhalers for his COPD and two full bottles of Tylenol arthritis eight hour unopened. They said they would tag them with his name and use them first but they did not do that. He fell and bumped his head on the ninth day at 11:30 at night and was taken or I should say sent by ambulance to the emergency room. All alone. I did not know anything about it until the next morning because someone called and left a voicemail on my work phone The night before, so that means my father with dementia was in the emergency room all by himself and I'm sure all the questions they ask he say "I don't know He had to have a Covid test and a tuberculosis test negative for both before he could be admitted so he did that and he was negative. Nine days later, when he fell and was admitted to the hospital, he had Covid, common pneumonia, a fever, was dehydrated and had a UTI. He was in the hospital and IV antibiotics for two days, then sent to rehab for four weeks. The people that work there are very friendly, but we did not receive what we paid for. My dad was only there for nine days and in those nine days time he did not have a shower or a shave and he fell three times because he was always left all alone. They have six levels of care, each step cost $500 more. After my father moved in, they moved him from level one to level two and charged us $500 more when I asked exactly what is included in the levels of care they said they would explain it later, which they never did. We were billed by their pharmacy about $100 and since he did not return to their facility after he fell, I called and requested that they returned his medication to me, but they would not do that.
A wonderful community experience!
