Celebration Villa of Mid Valley

Staff is wonderful but they are way understaffed. Make sure all possessions are clearly labeled as things disappear daily. They are registered as an assisted living facility so long-term care will only pay half of what they would have paid for a nursing home. The cost for memory care is even greater than nursing home costs the long-term care insurance will only cover up to the level that they are licensed.

Overall. Staff seem to know my mom & care about her, it's a good home for advanced dementia & memory care. But it is less residential-like & more of a hospital-like feel than some homes that have AFH-side & memory care, admin is not great with follow up , activities outside the building have been sparse & nobody followed up with a few things like zoom meetings, the food is believed average, very much like hospital good & much less "home-style" than other homes, I think my mom is safe & they take good care of her, but it's finitely more of a hospital-life atmosphere.

I toured the Celebration Villa of Mid Valley. It's a memory care facility and all the exit doors were electronically controlled so that the staff didn't have to worry about anybody wandering out. Everything was very clean. I like that it was on one level. All the floors were done with laminate type of wood-type material, which made them very clean and safe. There weren't any bumps or anything on the floor. There are a lot of things that go into these facilities that you don't even think about, but this facility was safe, organized, and staffed properly. Everybody was like a family. It was awesome. Their facility was exceptional and the care for the patients and the food they had was specially designed for each person's needs. The director of the facility was awesome. I was a little bit late in getting there, about 15 minutes late because I had trouble finding the place, but she took it upon herself to give me a tour personally. I felt very good about the visit. She was wonderful. She's called me back probably 5 or 6 times. She's been persistent in communicating and everything, more so than the others. She took me through the pantry and the dining facility and showed me how everything was set up. I was impressed.

Celebration villas has been great for Dad. The staff is very good with communication regarding Dad and they care about his well-being there.

My brother was diagnosed with dementia eight years ago and was in need of a senior home specializing in providing memory care for their residents. We moved him into Celebration Villa of Mid-Valley where he received the care and compassion to remain comfortable and safe. He was always complimentary about the helpful staff, always looked forward to the well-planned meals and was pleased with his room. My family is forever grateful for the protection and safe keeping provided at Celebration Villa. He was well cared for and happy, content with his room, meals and surroundings. It was his home away from home.
