My Mom has been at Briarwood Senior living for 5 years now. We are very happy with the care she has been receiving. The home is beautiful and cozy and always clean. They decorate for every holiday! They also do many fun activities!! The food is good also! Mom has received very good care in all areas and we are very happy to have Mom at Briarwood.
Briarwood did not return my deposit when my husband was not accepted at facility involving safety. They kept $1500 and ignore any attempts to get it back. Beware
After caring for my mother for years, I came to the time that I could no longer do so. Mom was at a facility near our home until we moved. We found Briarwood, again close to our new home, and knew it was going to be a great fit. From our initial tour to today, we have not been disappointed! It is a small, intimate setting in an old Victorian home. The staff has amazing longevity and really take exceptional care of Mom. The pricing is affordable too!
I requested a placement for my husband. When he was evaluated he was not able to be placed. It has been 3 months and Briarwood has not returned my $[removed] deposit. I have tried multiple times to recover it. Do not give a deposit to Briarwood in Newfoundland!
I am a family friend and come visit often. The home is always clean and the staff is always friendly. The residents are happy and well cared for. They serve delicious meals and have great choices.
We toured Briarwood a few months back, and we were very pleased on the cleanliness of the home, as well as how very helpful and pleasant the staff were. The Residents looked happy and healthy, as they were eating lasagna for lunch. It felt like a home compared to the other places we had toured. My aunt will be happy here.
My mother-in-law is currently in Briarwood Senior Living. They get lunch, breakfast, and dinner. Everybody comes downstairs for the day. My mother-in-law is 98, and some days she doesn't feel like coming downstairs, so that's why we're looking to move her somewhere where there's a different level of care. All the ladies are very nice. It's a nice place. It has a nice TV room. Another reason why I am thinking about moving my mother-in-law is because there's not enough staff to accommodate her. It's an old house and it has a chairlift. I don't have a problem with them but my mother-in-law needs another level of care. They have activities, but whether they can do it or not is another thing. Like before the spring came, they potted seeds. They have a shuffleboard thing that's on a table. They have games there for them. They have a nice patio outside and I've seen families come and sit out there and have lunch. They have a big old front porch. When they get tired of looking at one side, they can go out there. With regards to the food, it is good. It's bland if you ask my mother-in-law. But a lot of them have dementia and things like that, but sometimes we'll drop off Danishes and things like that.
Our experience with Briarwood Senior Living has been exceptionally wonderful. Mom is very well cared for. Briarwood is a historical home and I feel like it has the feel of a Bed and Breakfast. They keep the home very clean. The food is good, Mom is always happy with her meals. The care is good. The ladies working here are attentive to each resident. We can stop in and visit anytime. I definitely feel good having Mom in this facility. I know she is well taken care of and well fed and entertained. Thank you Lisa, Michelle, Johna, Kenyetta! I can rest easy knowing Mom is so well cared for.
