I just moved my Mom in. She wants to be independent, but she needs support. And that’s what Belle Reve offers. A beautiful private room with meals and professionals to help her when she needs it.
It is a difficult decision to leave one's home at any stage of life and to move. Luckily for my family the decision to move my father to Belle Reve has been extremely positive. The staff are extremely attentive and caring and they all -overall treat him like family. The apartments/rooms are immaculate and the food is fantastic. Overall, this was an excellent choice for Dad. He's happy! We wanted to thank Renee for meeting with us a year ago to begin this transition. She was so well informed, attentive and kind. (Amy and Pete)
Having been a social person all of his life, it was heartbreaking to see our Dad sit home alone all day every day, not wanting to do anything or go anywhere after our Mom passed. We have had a great experience with him having moved to Belle Reve. From the initial intro and tours with Renee, who also assisted with the intake interview and registration, we were treated with care and regard specific to our family. It was a very emotional experience, and the entire team worked to support us. Our dad's transition was tricky, and again, all of us were supported by the staff at Belle Reve. Luckily,…
Luckily, that difficulty lasted only about a month for our Dad, and since then, he feels very comfortable and completely well taken care of, "like a king". The staff are all caring and friendly, which means so much to us. He is pretty self sufficient, so we were mainly looking to ensure his safety, and that his daily needs are met. There has been a concern, however, with the lack of communication/response from management on several occasions over the first 4 months of our dad's stay. Luckily our family has been diligent in staying on top of the issues. We have seen much improvement with the change in staff over this past month (especially once the Regional Director Kristen got involved) and are grateful for their assistance. There were recurrent issues that Chris from Maintenance has been working tirelessly to resolve, and he has gone above and beyond to keep us updated. In sum, our priority is our dad's well being and we are so grateful to see him happy, being very social and well cared for by all of the staff at Belle Reve.
Belle Reve provided compassionate care for my husband when we could no longer care for him at home. He could not talk and was limited in his ability to walk at times but he always had a smile and a high five for the staff throughout the day (and night). I am thankful that they were there for him.
My mother has been there for four years and the staff has been attentive and supportive of her needs. The meals served always seem to be of good quality. Our only observation is that they seem to be short staffed at times.
My experience with Belle Reve has been nothing but positive from the beginning when I first inquired about their memory care program for my husband.. We felt welcomed and comfortable with the sweet homey rooms, the open dining area and activities space. The staff was always kind and helpful and always available to answer questions and guided me with my own issues about how to deal with my husband’s illness. I always felt positive about my choice of Belle Reve for my husband’s care! Our living situation changed so he is no longer there but if we move back to the area I know there is a wonderful memory care facility waiting for us at Belle Reve. P.S. He loved the food so much he even put on some need weight!
If there was Zero stars I would put that. i took care of a family friend i was there for about three weeks and what i saw you’ll make your skin crawl. No activities whatsoever, there is nothing for these people to do other then sit watch tv and drink cranberry juice. all they feed them is bread cheap stuff pizza lasagna ziti. there are patients pushing other patients in wheelchairs. the staff is very rude to the other patients saying “what do you want” the staff are sleeping while they are supposed to be watching patients the bathrooms are disguising with dirty pampers and in the lunchrooms housekeeping doesn’t even clean the rooms. the patients sit in their own waste for at least twelve hours they are severely understaffed. they leave the patients unsupervised i’ve never seen anything like it. there are flies everywhere bugs in the lights. i’m surprised the place isn’t shut down. EDIT: i wrote this 8 months ago and last month 15 patients were transported for bedsores and gangrene and this month one resident sexually abused MANY others. the news states they are on a provisional license but nope its active. NOTE: if it was provisional it would say provisional ANOTHER NOTE I called the pike county area of agency in aging and NOTHING was done….. ZERO…. NOTHING….. NADA…NIENT……
What Happened at this place on February 17 was horrific. I Severely questioned whether the people that run this facility know what the hell they’re doing. It’s amazing to me that Their director still has a job. To me, I would think as a Director there you are in charge of overseeing every aspect of the building. How do you miss all those people with all those open wounds? To me it’s inexcusable and embarrassing. I would think that if you want the public to believe that you’re really sorry and you want to Change that you need to make an example of the person in Charge and really show that you’re Committed to fixing the problems And it starts with a person in charge. By keeping the same person that allowed this to happen The public thinks you simply don’t care. I have visited this place multiple times And I have talked to different employees from time to time And different people have told me this place basically if at all possible likes to sweep things under the rug and pretend like they don’t happen. They better have a pretty big rug because this kind of stuff and the reputation that comes with. It are gonna be hard to get rid of.
