My mother resided at the Atrium about a year ago. I have finally decided to let others know about her experience. My mother’s short stay at the Atrium was incredibly upsetting. In just two weeks, medications were missed several times, and my mother was treated with a lack of respect when she tried to speak up. One day, she was clearly unwell and despite my repeated requests for someone to check her temperature as she had previously had an infection, no one came to take her temperature. That same night, she fell and waited about 25 minutes for help. When they finally arrived and my mother asked what took them so long, they told her that staff were busy serving dinner. As a family member, that was heartbreaking to hear. We later learned that my mother broke her femur and laid in pain while staff served dinner. There were several other upsetting incidents in these two weeks, really too many to mention in the Google review. While the building may look nice, the level of care and compassion we experienced was deeply disappointing. I would strongly urge others to think carefully before trusting this facility with a loved one.
My beloved grandma has been residing here for 3 years, never a complaint! The staff are wonderful and very helpful. The company does an outstanding job with planning events for birthdays, holidays and even taking the residents out of the community to shop or dine out! My grandmas needs are always met, always feel welcomed when I enter! Highly recommend!!
I waited over 20 minutes for Bliss to come out for the uber she ordered. Normally I would wait for the maximum seven minutes, but all the while she kept messaging me that she would tip me. It was a holiday after all, so I waited with the expectation I would receive a tip. On the ride to her place, all she did was complain nonstop about her work and family. I sat quietly and listened, as she clearly needed someone to vent to. Well guess what? No tip at all. I wouldn’t trust my elders being taken care of by liars or people that hate their job.
Atrium put on a class act Easter Egg Hunt that great grandchildren and great grandparents thoroughly enjoyed! I'm so pleased with this facility and the care my father has been given. My father loves the place and I'm comforted to know he is happy here. Thank you Atrium for all you do!
Great family environment. Clean and cozy. They also do a lot of events so family members and residents can enjoy special time together.
Andi, Jen, Dineen, and the entire team at The Atrium of Allentown are truly a pleasure to work with. Their professionalism, collaboration, and genuine care for residents and families are evident in everything they do. As a non-medical home care agency, we greatly value our partnership with their team. We’re grateful for the relationship and highly recommend The Atrium of Allentown Senior Community
Just moved my aunt in yesterday. Luthercare at The Lutheran Home in Topton was too cult-like. I'm very impressed with my decision to transfer her after only 4 wks at The Lutheran Home.
Thank you, Atrium, for accommodating Maryann for respite care for one month. The staff was very caring and accommodating, especially for many family and friend visits.
